He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and
that which he hath given will He pay him again.
(Proverbs
19:17)
He that giveth to the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth
his eyes shall have many a curse.
(Proverbs 28:27)
In the
tenth chapter of the book of Acts a centurion named Cornelius,
who gave much alms to the people, received a vision from an
angel of God.
And he (the angel) said, Cornelius, your prayer has been
heard and harkened to, and your donations to the poor have been
known and preserved before God – so that He heeds and is about
to help you.
(Acts 10:31 Amplified)
There
is a lot of teaching today in the Body of Christ concerning
sowing and reaping. We see images on television of starving
children in other countries, and rightfully so, our hearts are
moved with compassion. But does that compassion extend to those
in our midst? What about the widow and the fatherless, here, who
have been abandoned?
Our
ministries are designed to help people in the urban areas of
Dallas/Ft. Worth. Each ministry presents its own financial
challenges to the organization. We rely on contributions from
supporters like you. Has God called you to minister seed to the
sower?
